Introduction

Designed to empower undergraduate faculty with foundational research knowledge, this FDP was centered around demystifying the term "research" and its many dimensions.

Session Highlights

Dr. Kasande presented key research concepts through an engaging narrative:

• Meaning and definition of "Research"
• Link between knowledge creation and hypothesis formulation
• Purpose and relevance of research gaps
• Types of Research, Theories, and Testing Techniques
• Concepts such as Research Onion, Research Questions, Objectives, Hypotheses

Outcome

The session was well-received and appreciated for simplifying complex ideas. It has laid the groundwork for further FDPs on research publications, data analytics, and academic output.
